One photo depicts Troop 33 Eagle Scout David Romeis of DeKalb, Illinois being presented the Hornaday Award for distinguished service to wildlife by Scout Executive E.F. Schmidt. David helped secure a 3300 acre bird and wildlife preserve. To promote the sanctuary he gave addresses and wrote articles on conservation.
